[Someone else who's been to other worlds before this one? Is that actually a common occurrence in other places? It makes her own world seem primitive in comparison, not that it didn't already. She frowns to herself in thought, though that's hard to see under the mask.]
Playing in the water is running along the shore and splashing your friends. This goes a little beyond playing. [Exploring, yes. But she doesn't see these as one and the same.]
And I guess you enjoy the company of others, too? Is that your excuse for following me around?
Oh, well I didn't grow up on water, and I don't have any friends! [He sounds very cheerful though, as if this doesn't bother him at all. Because it doesn't.]
This is like playing to me.
[He makes a thoughtful noise.]
Well yeah, talking to other people is pretty good. Do you want me to go away or something?
[This man is strange. Unreal, even. His reactions don't feel natural to her, but then there are plenty of people she's met here who don't act like anyone she's known before arriving. Is he so confident as to be cheerful about everything? Is he underestimating her as a threat? She's used to that much, at least.]
I don't care what you do. I just think you're a strange little man.
[Might as well ask about him if he's going to answer.]
Most of this world is strange - the "ship" above us moreso than this.
[She finds a pot buried in some sand and begins tugging at it to see if she can pull it free without breaking it. It's doubtful that there's anything interesting inside, but she might as well look. Nothing else stands out yet, which is disappointing.]
At least down here we're not surrounded by machines that so everything but wipe our asses.
[Though they might have one of those and she just hadn't noticed. Those bathrooms weirded her out.]
And yet not using something that would give you an advantage just because you decide to be stubborn could also leave you at a disadvantage.
[Which is something she's not okay with.
She almost threatens to stab him when he gets closer to her, but doesn't. Him moving the sand isn't going to hurt anything, and there's no one else around (as far as she knows) to witness any failings on her part.
He only gets a few moments to shift sand before she starts motioning him away again, though.]

Well, I was trying to befriend you, I guess?
[Strange, huh? She has no idea. He can't even refute that.]
It kinda depends on what you think is strange.

[He swims closer and shakes his head.]
Not like that, you'll probably break it. Here.
[Demyx gets closer to the sand and starts pulling it away from the jar to make it easier to get out of the dirt.]
I'm not used to them either, but they just kinda exist. You don't really have to use them.

That's enough. You can dig up your own things.

[It's a good thing she doesn't, he doesn't really want to get stabbed. He blinks but withdraws his hands as she tells him to.]
Oh, I don't need anything, I was just helping since you seemed to want the pot.
[Doesn't she?]
